The old Church of St. Colman, opened by Bishop Mageean in l957, became our new Parish Centre in September 1991 following the blessing and dedication of the new St. Colman’s Church by Bishop Patrick J. Walsh.

The Parish Centre is home to our Parish office, Little Oaks Pre-school Playgroup and the Scouts Den.

Other activities that take place in the Centre are:

· Bowling Club

· Ladies Craft Class

· St. Vincent de Paul

· Speech and Drama classes

· Parish Committees

All the above groups welcome new members for their activities.

The main hall, lounge and small rooms may be booked for events/functions/parties by contacting the Parish office.

St. Colmans Primary School has now successfully re-located to the former Balmoral High School on Blacks Road for the duration of the rebuild of our new Primary School. They will remain in constant contact with the parish, children will continue to use the Church for First Eucharist and Confirmation practices. 

 

As a Catholic Maintained School, St Colman's defines itself as a caring community, with Christ as the first teacher and model.

We are committed to the development and well being of all our pupils and we actively strive to promote the spiritual, moral, intellectual, emotional and physical welfare of each individual child.

There are six area of study:

Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Science and Technology,

Environmental and Society & Creative and Expressive Studies

Sports include:

Camogie, Gaelic Football, Hurling, Netball, Soccer, Swimming, Drama & Judo.

There are other extra -curricular activities such as Irish Dancing that take place in and around the school.

Plans For The New School

St Colman's was awarded £3.3 million by D.E.N.I. to build a new school on the existing campus.
